About NAYINA

NAYINA is a West African womenswear label built on handcraft.

Every piece in the Grounded Collection is cut and sewn by hand in West Africa, in traditional fabrics — African Wax, hand-dyed Adire, Adire crêpe, Mikando — so no two garments are ever quite identical.

The gesture before the scale

Sewing by hand sets a pace. You do not make a thousand pieces at once, you make one, then the next. It is slower, and it is the only way to get a finish a production line will not give — a seam taken in, a hem adjusted, a sleeve that falls right.

Fabrics that decide

Wax is printed in continuous lengths: the motif falls differently at every cut. Adire is resist-dyed by hand: the colour never settles the same way twice. Mikando holds the shoulder when a sleeve has to stay sculptural. The cloth is not decoration — it is what decides the shape.

Two lines, one standard

Signatures

The ceremony pieces. Mikando and Adire crêpe, long lines, defined shoulders. For weddings, receptions, and the evenings you will be photographed at.

Essentials

Every day. Wax and Adire, relaxed cuts, breathable cloth, and real pockets. Morning to evening, without thinking about it.

Essentials

No two pieces repeat

It follows directly from the cloth and the gesture: your garment is cut from the fabric as it comes. It will never be quite the one in the photograph — and that is exactly what makes it yours.

Nine pieces, two lines, four fabrics.
